Our Daughter Fell at Daycare in Brooklyn and Cut Her Eye on a Broken Plastic Bin.

The bin was cracked and broken prior to her falling on it. She received a cut just above her eye that required a trip to the ER and glue to close the wound. We just received the bill totaling $1160.00. Are we within our rights to ask the daycare to pay this bill?

You are certainly within your rights to ask the day care center to pay the medical bill.  There might even be a claim worthwhile pursuing for this injury and the resulting scar, if there is one, but that would depend upon the facts regarding what caused your daughter to fall.
